Green living is a hot topic these days. Many people are looking for ways to downsize, eat locally, and live according to eco-driven goals. Is it a fad, or do people truly want to help this earth stay healthy and beautiful?
Claiming greenness is more than just about buying the right product or saying the right thing. It’s a state of being, an existence that you follow and believe in no matter the time or weather. It’s also something you follow through thick and thin, through all the fluctuations and stresses of your life and of those around you.
There are varying levels of greenness, and these levels should never be judged against one other. What matters is the passion behind it. The drive that you feel to follow your green dreams and inspirations. The ability to keep in mind how many other places and living creatures reside alongside you, and for you to love and respect them equally.
Don’t be tempted to buy something just because it says “sustainable” or “natural.” Buy it because you know it is sustainable and natural. Create your own cleaning products, or manufacture your own bed frame because you know they are sustainable and natural.
Make small changes in your life to attain the level of greenness in which you believe. There’s dreaming, and then there’s achieving. Which one do you want?
“Some day we’ll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me.”
